Beezy Wrap

Beeswax Wraps & Beezy Wrap®

Our Journey to Plastic Free

Beezy Wrap® is a Canadian, Woman owned business dedicated to the reduction of plastic use and protection of our environment.

Founder and CEO, Sandra Mac Donald, has been nominated in 2022 for the 30th Annual RBC Canadian Women Entrpreneur Awards.

“With a love for nature and the environment we take great pride in making the right choices and making handmade beeswax wraps. We recycle, reuse and try to reduce our carbon footprint.”

“Always taking our plastic “to the curb” to be recycled we felt we were doing “our part”.

The “A-HA” moment came in 2017 when China announced it would no longer take plastic film waste from Canada. This was something that had never occurred to me: what happens when your plastic leaves the curb?!

After some research I decided we would no longer contribute to this growing problem for our environment.

The fun began: experimenting to make reusable beeswax bee wraps!”

Sandra developed her own unique and wonderful recipe which is now used to create Beezy Wrap® beeswax food wraps using 100% cotton, local beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and tree resin. Beeswax is sourced from a local beekeeper, organic jojoba oil, Canadian sourced fabrics and sustainably harvested tree resin are used to create these wonderful wraps.

Beezy Wrap® food wraps were gifted to family and friends for “kitchen testing”. Everyone loved using beeswax wraps and the demand for more led to the creation of a business.

Beezy Wrap® was started from a desire to no longer use “single use” plastic.

“We take great pride in our Zero Waste Production Philosophy: In running our business, it’s important to us that we produce as little waste as possible. We make a use for everything we process!”

Proudly Canadian, Beezy Wrap® has garnered orders and interest for beeswax wraps coming from U.S., UK., Iceland, Finland, Norway, Netherlands, Japan and Australia.

“We each are SMALL….together we can be MIGHTY.”
